Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

The short version: Steadfast doesn't collect, store, or sell your personal data. Everything stays on your device. We built it this way on purpose.

Our Philosophy

Most apps say they care about your privacy, then bury the truth in pages of legal jargon. We're going to be direct: Steadfast was designed from the ground up to not collect your data. We can't sell what we don't have.

Your mental health journey is personal. It should stay that way.

What We Don't Collect

Steadfast does not collect:

Where Your Data Lives

All of your data - journal entries, mood logs, health insights, AI conversations - is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your phone. We have no servers collecting your information, no databases storing your thoughts, no way to access what you've written or said.

If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it. Simple as that.

AI Processing

The AI companion in Steadfast uses on-device processing. Your conversations are not sent to external servers for analysis. The AI model runs locally on your device, which means your words stay with you.

Apple Health Integration

If you choose to connect Steadfast with Apple Health, we read health data (like sleep, steps, and heart rate) directly from HealthKit on your device. This data is used to provide insights within the app and is never transmitted anywhere. The connection is entirely optional.

Third-Party Services

Steadfast does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools. There are no hidden trackers in this app.

Institutional Access

For organizations that license Steadfast for their teams: the privacy model remains the same. We do not provide employers, departments, or institutions with access to individual user data. The app works the same way whether you're using it personally or through your organization.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. But our core commitment won't change: we don't want your data, and we've built the app so we can't get it even if we wanted to.
